Risk Based Route Planning
Risk-based Route Planning is a Google Maps-based mobile application allowing the user to plan safe routes by avoiding known hotspots and predicted hotspots learned from patterns of past incidents. Built originally to support troops in Iraq to avoid IEDs it monitors event feeds and databases high risk areas. It then utilizes constraint optimization to define the safest & quickest way to a destination.
Resource Planning Decision Modeler
In this project we developed a geospatial Decision Modeler tool built on decision science principles. The Decision Modeler enables operators to model the operational environment to answer what-if type planning and resource allocation questions. This can applied to a variety of applications ranging from airborne intelligence collection to logistical operations. It visualizes for the user the options available enabling them to make an informed decision quickly.
